I got a pretty early jump start on Fall decorations this year… which also means this post should of been up a lot sooner than now. HA! But, such is life. Some people thought I was a little crazy for putting out my Fall decor so early but, I love the warmth of the Fall colors and the coziness that it brings. Also, there’s something about Fall that calms me. It’s like the calm before the Christmas (& Thanksgiving since that is such a crazy time for us too) storm. So, here is our Fall home tour for 2018!
Starting off with our front porch, I love the way it turned out this year. I kept it simple and didn’t add any real pumpkins until Halloween because our house faces directly West and the afternoon sun would have ruined them too quickly. I did add the buffalo check rug and the “Grateful” rug this year which I feel like really changed up the porch.
One big thing that got checked off the to-do list the last couple of months was painting the two end dining chairs! You’ll see the “before” in a couple of the pictures below but, I absolutely love the way they turned out and love how they complete the dining table! Ok, so my dining room just really makes me happy these days… because I also love how the center piece runner turned out – a mix of items from Tuesday Morning, Kirkland’s, Target Dollar Spot and candle abras that were my moms, it turned out better than I envisioned. And despite my small budget, I really like how the flower buckets turned out on the wall too! Would you believe that it is one bundle of “greenery” and two flower stems in each?
More simplicity in the living room as well but, I did add some more of the black and white theme in here this year – and I love it! I’ve been a fan of the black and white buffalo check for years but, for one reason or another it just has not made its way into my decor. Not anymore though! I plan on reusing what I can in my Christmas decor too!
Thanks for stopping by! I love to hear your thoughts so, please leave me a comment below!
