Jack’s 2nd Lumberjack Birthday Party

For Jack’s 2nd birthday we decided to do a lumberjack birthday party theme.  I had seen it done plenty but, I kept seeing the theme pop up and there was just too much fun stuff you could do with the theme to not do it!  So, we invited our friends and family to join us in their best plaid and had the best day celebrating Jack’s 2nd Lumberjack Birthday!

With Jack’s birthday being the end of January, I kept out a few of my trees from Christmas, pine cones and an antique lantern for the centerpiece on our main dining room table.  I decided to keep this centerpiece simple and loved how it turned out

We hosted the party mid-day so, I kept it low-key with snack foods and such.  It’s always a fine balance having the right foods for toddlers and adults but, we managed and I don’t think anyone left hungry.  😉   The menu consisted of mini pigs in a blanket, strawberries, oranges, gold fish, trail mix and salsa and cream cheese pin wheels.  I used an old Coca-Cola crate I had found a month or so before on a buy/sell site as added height to display his birthday cake on. If you’re local to the Ft. Worth area, Lolo’s Treats is amazing!  I picked up the Lumberjack plates, napkins and ax toppers from Hobby Lobby and the buckets with buffalo check ribbon handles I snagged around Christmas time in the Target Dollar Spot.

Since most of our little guest were around the 2 year range, I kept the planned entertainment to a minimum.  We lucked out and the weather was absolutely beautiful for a late January birthday party.  So, a lot of time was spent outside for the kids playing ball, in the sand box, taking wagon rides and filling the mini wheel barrow up with leaves.  For inside play though, I made a bulls eye bean bag toss and it was a hit!

All in all it was a super fun day and the lumberjack theme was equally as fun!
