Happy 4th of July, friends! It seems the months are flying by faster and faster these days & I find myself trying to soak up so much of the days with my little guy. He’s growing each day and I can just see the “baby” in him slipping away and he’s becoming a little boy. My heart can’t take it! Enough about that though or I’ll start crying soon!! June was a super busy month for us… from Matt and I getting away to the lake for a day to projects around the house and hosting our parents for dinner two separate weekends – it was a great month! I wanted to recap my goals from June and share what I’m working on for July + share some of my patriotic decor around our house.
Here’s a recap of my June goals:
+ Organize and Decorate Jack’s bedroom – I organized Jack’s toys, began decorating and this month we’ll refinish a twin bed that was Matt’s as a child and finish Jack’s room.
+ Refresh the back porch – this has been started but, not fully complete yet.
+ Cook dinner 4x each week – We’ve done well minus this last week… the wheels fell off!!
+ Build a headboard for our master bedroom – Three words… Did. Not. Happen.
+ Do a family fun day – We went to the drive-in movie theater to see The Incredibles 2 – such a fun night!
And here’s my July goals:
+ Finish Jack’s bedroom
+ Decorate the laundry room
+ Hang decor in the entryway
+ Print pictures and finish our gallery wall – once & for all!
+ Finish decorating the back porch
+ Finish Jack’s playlet – order accessories and paint
+ Blog! I want to blog at least 3 more times this month!
We will be out of town some this month and our weekends seem to be filling up quickly so, I’m keeping it simple this month!
We are going to have a low-key day around our house and then go see the local fireworks show tonight. We’ve never been but, I’ve heard it’s an amazing show so, we are looking forward to it! I hope each of you have a great day celebrating America’s birthday today! Happy 4th of July!
Thanks for stopping by! I love to hear your thoughts so, please leave me a comment below!
